Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, And Kim Hye Joon Confirmed To Star In New Thriller Drama

Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Hye Joon will be starring in a new thriller series!

The upcoming original Disney+ series “Connect” (working title) is a drama based on a webtoon of the same name that tells the story of a new race with an immortal body known as “Connect.” Connect Dong Soo gets kidnapped by organ hunters and loses one of his eyes. Later, he finds out that his lost eye has been transplanted to a serial killer who caused a massive uproar in Korea and starts to chase after him.

The series will be the first Korean project of Takashi Miike, a famous director who is loved by many fans globally. This raises anticipation for a well-made series with unique mise-en-scène and interpretations.

Jung Hae In, who showcased a wide acting spectrum across different genres through the dramas “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food,” “One Spring Night,” “D.P.,” and “Snowdrop” as well as the films “Start-Up” and “Tune in for Love,” will take on the role of Dong Soo. Dong Soo is a Connect who gets tangled up in an unexpected incident and starts to express various emotions as he faces his true self while chasing after a serial killer. Jung Hae In is expected to lead the drama with a shocking transformation that he has never shown before.

Go Kyung Pyo, who surprised viewers with great synchronization with his characters in the films “Decision to Leave,” “Seoul Vibe,” and “6/45” as well as in the dramas “Private Lives” and “Reply 1988,” will play Jin Seop, who gets his hands on the Connect’s eye by chance. Like the two faces of Janus, Jin Seop is a perfect and wonderful colleague at work but has an unimaginable side, adding tension to the drama.

In addition to this, Kim Hye Joon, who drew attention through various projects such as the dramas “Inspector Koo” and “Kingdom” as well as the films “Sinkhole” and “Another Child,” will play the role of Lee Rang, an assistant of Dong Soo who knows the secret of Connect.

The drama is set to premiere in December. Stay tuned for more updates!
