Baskin-Robbins' One Piece Collaboration Overview

Baskin-Robbins Japan has launched a limited-time collaboration event with the popular anime series One Piece, titled "The Grand Ice Cream Era: Delicious Encounters With Your Crew." This marks the ice cream chain's first official partnership with the franchise, starting on April 1 (JST) and running until May 8. The event features a variety of specialty ice cream cups and collectible acrylic character charms inspired by beloved characters such as Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji, and Tony Tony Chopper.

Featured Ice Cream Flavors
Among the highlights is a new flavor called "Gum-Gum Fruit Punch," described by Oricon as a "mysterious" purple sorbet that tastes like a different fruit with each scoop. It includes a sweet-and-sour ribbon and white-popping candies for a fizzy texture. Fans can enjoy this flavor in a special "Luffy's 'Amazing! Pirate Double Cup A," which comes with a cookie featuring the Straw Hat Pirate Symbol and an exclusive acrylic charm of Luffy.

Other offerings include:

  • Zoro and Sanji Double Wing Sundae: A sundae with two ice cream flavors, topped with whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and chocolates representing Zoro and Sanji's wanted posters.
  • Nami's Sparkling Orange Sundae: Made with whipped cream, orange sauce, and bead-like orange candies to resemble jewels, topped with an acrylic pick of Nami.
  • Chopper's Sweet Sundae With Cherry Blossoms: Featuring ice cream and whipped cream adorned with pink and white chocolate pieces, along with an acrylic pick of Chopper.

Special Packaging and Collectibles
Customers purchasing eight small sundae cups will receive a special Egghead Arc-themed ice cream box, featuring illustrations of Luffy's ship, The Thousand Sunny, and characters from the ongoing Egghead story arc. An eco-bag themed around One Piece will also be included.

While there are currently no details on an international release, the popularity of One Piece worldwide suggests that Baskin-Robbins may consider expanding this campaign beyond Japan.
