The Reason why the World Government wants to kill Dr. Vegapunk

Vegapunk tried to replicate Kaido’s fruit and “FAILED”, that’s at least what the World Government and CP0 knew.

Then Admiral Green Bull came to Wano and he saw ANOTHER dragon with the same abilities as Kaido.

I believe that Aramaki, once he returned to Mary Geoise, warned the Marines that Vegapunk lied about the fruit and now the World Government no longer trusts him.

The World Government wants to kill Vegapunk since he’s become more of a threat than an asset. He has fulfilled his purpose, and the World Government doesn’t need him now with the new Seraphims.
As Lucci suggested the reason because they want to kill Vegapunk might be connected to Lulusia.

Vegapunk might be somehow connected to the weapon that Im used to destroy Lulusia (many had speculated it could be the ancient weapon Uranus but it could also be a weapon created by Vegapunk). However, why kill “the most useful person in the world”? Well Vegapunk secretly might have been creating things that are capable of bringing down the World Government. Furthermore he probably have discovered every single secret of the Void Century or might have solved the mystery of Laugh Tale.

Nika Awakening is actually the only way to stop Blackbeard’s Darkness!

Before Chapter 1044, people had no idea that Luffy will have one of the most powerful devil fruits in the series.

The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is the only devil fruit power that the World Government wanted to erase from the entire history. It allows the user to transform into the legendary “Sun God” Nika.

So we learned that Luffy has this legendary devil fruit ability that once Joy Boy had. This devil fruit was so powerful that it’s nearly a Toon Force ability that gives Luffy enough freedom to do almost anything he wants.

Sun vs Darkness concept was already highlighted in Blackbeard’s previous battle, where Ace probably used his Logia Awakening via Entei and covered the half of the island with his fire, that his ability looked like an island sized Sun:

Basically, before Chapter 1044, people were still saying things like Luffy’s Haki is more important, not his devil fruit ability. But Oda proved these people wrong. Post-1044 One Piece gives the main character one of the most powerful devil fruit abilities, with the concept of being the Sun God.

Luffy has now the ability to do almost anything the he wants, with more freedom and more power once its power has awakened. And Blackbeard is the only character who can counter this freedom and power, with its darkness that can turn everything to nothing.

It makes so much sense that Blackbeard specifically searched for Darkness Logia, when there are also other powerful Logia abilities in One Piece. It was probably for countering an absurd and a very powerful Toon Force-like ability.

Nami Will Have A Definitive Power-Up At The End Of This Arc!

While many are anticipating this arc to be Franky’s for good and obvious reasons, this arc could also cater to Nami. While Franky is the ship’s foremost engineer, Nami is a science lover. She has been able to leverage science to upgrade her climatact from useless contraception to an extremely useful weapon.

In the past, the weather changed the course of history when a “freak storm” altered the outcome of the battle between Roger and Shiki during the Edd War. More recently, it was a weather anomaly that allowed Luffy to cheat death and officially embark on his journey.

My point is that the weather often feels like it is a prominent character in this story, a force that has and continues to dictate the course of history.

The weather’s importance is emphasized in the latest chapter as we’re told that Vegapunk wants to control or tame it. He blames the lack of funding for his inability to achieve this monumental task. Is Nami on her way to achieving what the world’s smartest scientist couldn’t?

Typically, people use the wind and sky to predict the weather. However, Vivi noted that Nami’s ability to predict the weather defied logic. If this were simple observation haki, as many have theorized, I think Oda would’ve revealed this by now. My thesis is that Nami’s natural affinity to the weather has something to do with her ancestry. But that’s a topic for another post.

We learned that the two things that Vega Punk can’t fully tame or control are the “urges of living creatures”, & the weather — both products of nature. Perhaps it was by design that Kuma — someone who’s familiar with Vega Punk — sent Luffy to train in the wild amongst creatures with strong and uncontrollable animalistic urges , while he sent Nami to the heavens (so to speak) to learn how to control the weather.

Throughout the story, Nami has used her understanding of the weather to great effect. She used it to sank a Buggy men’s boat, to get the crew to hard to reach places and out of harm’s way. Nami has also used her knowledge to turn Usopp’s party contraption into a useful and potentially deadly weapon. Most impressively, she was able to leverage a Yonko’s own storm against her army, and her sentient cloud against her.

So far we’ve only scratched the surface of what the combined power of Nami’s knowledge of atmospheric science and Zeus can do. Also, it’s important to remember that Zeus was instrumental in allowing Big Mom to control the weather. I believe that Nami’s knowledge of atmospheric science will allow Zeus to do much more than he was able to under Big Mom. Again, a topic for another post.

My theory is that Nami is being setup to accomplish what Dr. Vegapunk could not. In this arc she will learn how to more effectively leverage Zeus and science to devastating effects. And she will prove that a little girl from the East Blue can accomplish without funding what the world smartest man couldn’t.

Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Analysis

Every year it seems like anime gets weirder, wilder, and more creative. There’s a natural tendency to keep moving forward that continues to push the medium to extreme places. This excess can function at the series’ surface level, but it’s also led to a trend where stylized expressions of magic, energy, or even violence can become powerful metaphors for the internal problems that consume us all. A lot of anime have pushed this idea to the extreme, but few are more ridiculous than Chainsaw Man, an anime where a mild-mannered teen named Denji transforms into a chainsaw-limbed God of destruction. In Chainsaw Man, this weapon’s engine revs loudly and body parts and viscera fly with reckless abandon, but the noise of this spectacle doesn’t drown out the heart and soul of the characters underneath. The biggest fault against Chainsaw Man’s first episode is that it’s exactly that: a first episode.

Chainsaw Man exposes audiences to a radical new universe of Devis, but “Dog & Chainsaw” is endemic of many extravagant anime premieres that hold back on answers and instead feast on spectacles. That being said, “Dog & Chainsaw” still accomplishes its goal and it contains flashes of brilliance, brutality, and creativity. This premiere doesn’t attempt to bite off more than it can chew and it’s largely focused on Denji and his sordid lot in life. It’s not until the episode’s final seconds that Maki and the rest of Public Safety show up to complicate the story and introduce Denji to a whole new world of professional Devil Hunters. In fact, there’s a lot in common with the first episode of Chainsaw Man and the premieres of Devilman Crybaby or Tokyo Ghoul, two other dark anime where a beleaguered protagonist gets tempted over to a transformative world of evil. This is hardly a fresh anime trope, but hopefully Chainsaw Man manages to avoid the same pitfalls that held back these at-one-point similar seinen series. On that note, Denji is a fairly generic anime protagonist–at least at this point–but he still stands out and earns the audience’s empathy. He manages to come across as relatable, despite the extremely morbid turn that his life takes. After everything that he’s experienced he just wants to pay off his father’s debt, balance the karmic scales, and live an incredibly basic life that consists of simple pleasures like a girlfriend who he can hug and play video games with. At no point does this premiere ever make the audience want to write Denji off, which is paramount to the success of this story. “Dog & Chainsaw” largely wallows in Denji’s growing nihilism as the world continues to chew him up and spit him out. This premiere hammers in the dark nature of this world, but it’s not completely void of levity and silliness. Pochita, the adorable chainsaw dog, is a perpetual ray of sunshine who must be protected at all costs. He’s literally the secret weapon of the premiere and there’s already such a strong bond and chemistry that exists between him and Denji. It’s very clear that this dynamic is going to be the anime’s beating heart. Anime audiences have become increasingly savvy over the different animation studios that bring their favorite series to life. MAPPA Studio (Jujutsu Kaisen, Kakegurui, Attack on Titan: The Final Season) has a prolific reputation where they push themselves so hard that fans are actually worried about their livelihoods. MAPPA and Tatsuki Fujimoto’s detailed manga artwork seemed like a sublime match and it’s encouraging to report that MAPPA doesn’t skimp in the slightest here. This first episode looks gorgeous, but there’s equally impressive sound design, especially when it comes to the vicious massacre in the final act when Denji’s Chainsaw Man form first reveals itself. Every screech, saw, and squelch is visceral. Any concerns over MAPPA’s adaptation failing to match the extreme levels of violence that are present in the pages of the manga can safely be dismissed. “Dog & Chainsaw” is an incredibly gory premiere and the final act’s climax claims dozens of lives in the messiest means possible. It relishes and glorifies grisly moments that the manga otherwise dwells on with a certain passivity. It definitely feels as if these violent battles will be what audiences most talk about in Chainsaw Man, but thankfully that’s not all that the show has to offer. Admittedly, this is a tight, sparse premiere that’s dense in atmosphere and action, but otherwise lacking in humor and other means of levity. That’s not necessarily mandatory at this point, but a slightly broader premiere would better show off what Chainsaw Man can really do. These are minor complaints over a first episode that for all intents and purposes is quite entertaining and looks to be the start of something great. Its engine is already screaming into overdrive. It just needs to make sure that it doesn’t prematurely run out of gas. Chainsaw Man is likely to become everyone’s next anime obsession, but it’s still a little early to crown it with this title.

From Luffy to Goku and Beyond: Why Do So Many Anime Protagonists Have Black Hair?

Anime is known for starring characters with strange or unusual hair colors, with pink, green, blue and other hues being the norm for various show cast members. At the same time, one commonality is that the main characters, particularly in shonen stories, have black hair. Several of the biggest heroes in the medium have dark-colored hair, including the face of shonen anime as a whole.

There are several reasons for this coloration, most of which are practical. From the manga origins of most anime to the country that the stories hail from, there would seem to be more behind the dark tresses of many anime characters than mere coincidence.

Goku, Luffy and Other Anime Heroes All Have Black Hair

Perhaps the most iconic anime character of all is Goku, the hero of the Dragon Ball franchise. Though his various powered forms may sport different hair colors, Goku starts out with black hair. Dark-colored hair is even mentioned by fellow Saiyan Vegeta as being the norm among their race, with Goku's sons Gohan and Goten all sporting hair colors and hairstyles similar to their dad. Goku isn't the only shonen anime hero with this hair color; Luffy, the main character from One Piece, also has black hair. The same goes for many of the Joestar family members in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure -- a series that became a more adult-oriented seinen manga and anime.

Speaking of which, the incredibly violent seinen series Fist of the North Star had a black-haired protagonist in Kenshiro, though his locks were occasionally colored a dark brown. Beyond these demographics, even kids' shows have protagonists with black hair. Nobita Nobi from Doraemon and the buttcheek-boasting Shin-chan from the show of the same name all have the same black hair color, as does Ash/Satoshi of the Pokémon anime. These shows in particular illustrate one of the main reasons for so many anime characters having black hair.

Relatability and Practicality Gives Most Anime Characters Their Black Hair

Japanese people tend to have black to dark brown hair, with the former being the most common. Thus, it's no surprise that their artistic representations would reflect this. As mentioned, many kids' shows in particular have black-haired protagonists, and it's likely so that audiences -- in this case, young boys -- can more easily relate to what the main characters are going through. This extends to the power fantasy and wish fulfillment aspect of shonen stories, as it would likely be easier for the typical Japanese male to "see" themselves as Goku than a more overtly foreign-looking character.

However, this doesn't explain the presence of shonen heroes and other main characters in anime with other hair colors. For instance, Naruto Uzumaki and his son Boruto sport very un-Japanese blond hair. Likewise, characters such as Natsu from Fairy Tail have hair colors that are completely unnatural. This is likely an extreme version of the "fantasy" aspect of anime and manga, resulting in character designs that are more an exaggeration of reality than truly reflective of it. Thus, Naruto's blond hair may be seen as just as unnatural as Natsu's pink tresses.

Another explanation is that black hair shows up more easily in the pages of the original manga that inspire some anime. Though not all anime are adaptations, many of the shonen variety are. Given that manga are typically black and white, hair that's black requires less detail to stand out on white pages. More than likely, it's a combination of these factors -- not to mention, of course, the simple fact that dark hair is simply the norm for many people in general.

One Piece Chapter 1060: Has Imu’s Island Killing Weapon Been Used Before?

A terrifying new power shook the world of One Piece in the newest chapter as the audience got to see the complete erasure of the island kingdom of Lulusia. Imu, the highest sovereign power in the world, was shown using a weapon of some kind to destroy the kingdom that had recently rebelled against the World Government.

Bombarded from the sky, the island was obliterated, seemingly destroying everything and everyone in the area, including Sabo, who just so happened to be on the island at the time. It's unknown whether Sabo has survived or not, but given his importance in the plot and lack of a proper send-off, it's unlikely that he's truly been killed.

The exact nature of the island killing weapon is up for debate, but many fans believe that Imu used Uranus -- one of the ancient weapons -- to carry out the devastating attack. Uranus is one of the oldest gods in Greek mythology and the god of the sky. Just as the ancient weapon Poseidon was found deep in the oceans, it would make sense that Uranus would similarly be found in the sky.

The power of the ancient weapons hasn't truly been shown yet in the story, but the outright destruction of an island is certainly one way to make an impression on fans. It's possible, however, that this isn't the first time the weapon has been used, and fans just haven't been made aware of this fact yet. God Valley, an island that existed somewhere in the Grand Line, was the location of an enormous battle between the Rocks Pirates and a joint effort between the Roger Pirates and the Marines. Nothing about the battle is known yet, but Rocks himself was killed during the battle. After the battle was over, the island disappeared from the world forever.

The joint effort of the Roger Pirates and the Marines isn't public knowledge and is only known by a few people in the world -- obviously, a result of the government trying to keep this fact hidden. After all, they've already covered up the events of the Void Century, but there isn't a better way to cover up the events of a battle than to annihilate the battlefield itself.

Nothing else in the series has come close to showing the level of power capable of killing an island, so it isn't hard to connect the dots from this chapter to the other events. How exactly the weapon functions and what circumstances it can be used under are still unknowns, but it will almost certainly make another appearance at some point in the future, possibly during the looming final war.

One Piece creator finally shines the light on Luffy’s mom and dad

It has been leaked that in the upcoming issue of One Piece’s SBS, a column in the manga where Oda answers fans’ questions, the author will once again confirm Luffy’s family has already been seen in the series. According to the leaks, Oda replied to a question about Luffy’s parents by stating that he had already drawn both of them. Keep reading to learn more about the issue.

In the past, Oda has talked about the irrelevance of Luffy’s mother to the plot of One Piece. The author has stated that mothers are the opposite of adventure, which is why he believes Luffy is better off without seeing his mother. Yet, his answers have never quenched the thirst of the fans, who have been asking for decades to learn more about Luffy’s mom.

The latest instance of the curiosity displayed by fans will appear in the next SBS section of One Piece. In it, Oda will once again tell fans that he has already shown both of Luffy’s parents in the manga. One of them is known by every fan as Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army.

Luffy’s mom, on the other hand, has not been revealed yet, but this latest statement makes it clear that we have already met her. As the story of One Piece nears its end, Oda will likely start giving Luffy’s mother major importance in the series.

This is not the first time Oda has talked about the woman who raised Luffy. A few years ago, the creator of One Piece claimed that he already had an idea of what Luffy’s mother would look like. The woman would be rough-looking, loud, and impolite. This ended up being the personality of Dadan, a woman who acted as Luffy’s adoptive mother for many years.

Years after that statement, Oda was once again questioned about Luffy’s biological mother. This was the first time the mangaka replied that Luffy’s mom had already been drawn in the manga. Many fans, following the One Piece creator's statement, have come up with speculations about who the woman who raised Luffy as a baby is.

Some fans theorized that Sir Crocodile could secretly be Luffy’s mom. In the past, fans have speculated that Crocodile used to be a woman who asked Ivankov to turn him into a man. Another popular theory claims that Im-sama could be our hero’s mother, which could explain why Oda is so secretive about the truth.

Recently, a new theory has surfaced amongst the community, claiming that Bonney is the Straw Hat captain’s mom. This theory is based on the sudden appearance of the female Supernova in One Piece chapter 1060. Fans believe Oda is talking about our protagonist’s mother due to Bonney's reappearance in the series.

Despite Oda’s insistence about Luffy’s mom not being important to the story of One Piece, fans will continue to wonder who the woman is. It seems like Oda is slowly warming up to the idea of revealing the identity of this enigmatic character.

Nevertheless, until there is an official statement concerning the identity of the Straw hat captain’s mother, fans will have to keep speculating about the possibilities. Maybe in the future, Oda will finally shed some light on this issue.

One Piece Shocks Fans with Some of Wano's Most Impressive Animation Yet

One Piece is doing big things with the manga, and of course, the anime has its own burden to bear these days. While Eiichiro Oda handles the manga's final act at long last, Toei Animation is keeping a tight hold on the Wano Country saga. After all, the storyline is one of the most intense to date, and it seems fans are in disbelief over episode 1033 right now.

And why is that? Well, you can see it all in the slides below. Episode 1033 has some of the best art from Toei Animation to date. Luffy vs Kaido has become a spectacle to behold thanks to this big episode, and fans are admittedly stunned by the quality Toei Animation brought them.

After all, One Piece is a weekly anime, so Toei Animation is limited in the resources it can spend on any given episode. However, the company has made concerted efforts with the Wano Country saga to do things differently. Some of the company's best animators and directors have been tapped to oversee episodes. But when it comes to overall animation, it is hard to imagine any episode of One Piece compared to episode 1033.

You can see just some of the fandom's reactions below, and their insight shows how gobsmacked this update has left them. And when One Piece approaches the final moments of Luffy vs Kaido, we know the anime will deliver even better animation.

The Reason why Blackbeard captured Koby

In Chapter 1059 we see a newspaper reports about Koby being captured by the Blackbeard Pirates. The theory I see people talking about the most is Blackbeard turning in Koby’s bounty to Cross Guild and then you get the Alvida reunion. That would be super cool and I think that’s plausible but I think that could still happen on top of the theory I have.

So Kuzan is affiliated with Blackbeard and the prevailing theory is he’s undercover for SWORD. So that interaction is a very big possibility. However, what if another reason Koby was captured is to prove Kuzan’s loyalty? Blackbeard has shown that he knows far more than he lets on so what if he’s already suspicious of Kuzan and he wants Kuzan to kill Koby in front of him to prove he has fully removed himself from the navy.

Kuzan would refuse which leads to the reveal that he actually is part of SWORD so he tries to escape with Coby but is wounded. One of the reasons Kuzan is affiliating himself under Blackbeard could be to try and discover the method that Blackbeard used to acquire two devil fruits powers and how the Blackbeard Pirates steal other powers and before he passes he could impart the knowledge he’s gained to Koby and also give Koby his ice power somehow in the process.

It makes a lot of sense to me if the reason Koby becomes a big part of the story again is because he’s the one who’ll tell Luffy about Blackbeard’s secret. Blackbeard could monologue and tell Luffy during their battle but I think it would be so much more dynamic if Koby was the one to do it. Imagine the panel after a couple arcs where we see Koby again after awhile and he suddenly uses ice powers and he reveals why he has them.

Do we already know the Former Empress of Amazon Lily after Shakky and before Hancock?

So we recently found out that Shakuyaku “Shakky” was the Empress of Amazon Lily tribe from two generations ago.

And we have been told that both of the Empresses before Boa Hancock have died. So this leaves a question, did the Empress before Boa Hancock really die? If not, who is it?

Given that the difference of age between Shakky and Boa Hancock is 33 years (31 – 64), the Empress could’ve been someone around the middle of that age wich is 47.5 years.

Well, I went in search of characters around that age and the only females around that age are either daughters of Big Mom (Charlotte Mondée, Charlotte Hachée, etc…) or Shinobu wich is from Wano. But I saw a certain character that we’ve already seen some theories about being a woman: Sir Crocodile (46 years old)

This combined with Ivankov saying that he knows a certain secret of Crocodile may indicate that he really is not only a woman, but a former Empress of Amazon Lily.

This also might leave some theories on Luffy being the son of an Empress… but we’ll leave this for later.

Vegapunk has created an even more Powerful Weapon than the Seraphim!

The Seraphim are new Pacifista units developed by the Marines’ Special Science Group with the intention of replacing the Seven Warlords of the Sea as one of the Three Great Powers. I am pretty sure that Seraphims aren’t the only group of new Pacifista.

Seraphims in religion are only a group of Angels compared to many. They’re considered the most important because the reside near God’s throne, they’re not powerful as in the fighting sense they just stand still and float 24/7 while Angels and Archangels aren’t considered important but they’re the fighting Angels that carry God’s commands.

Seraphims are considered the highest in hierarchy but they interact with humanity the least and the more you go down the chain the more they interact with the world and humans. I do not expect 9 classes of SSG New Pacifista, that’s simply too much but a Class of Angels from each sphere/triad is enough and to be expected or even just Seraphims and another class like Archangels. Who could be used to make the Archangels models? I have 3 options on who it could be. But first who are the Archangels? There’s normally 4 of them:

Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel (Uriel is swapped with Azreal in other abrahamic religions like Islam). I don’t expect the characters to be named these angels names but they would represent them. So let’s get to the possible candidates:

1- The Four Emperors

The Marines has had 4 Yonkos in their hands at different times:

Kaido has been in their custody numerous times so it’s very easy to get his DNA and we have already saw Vegapunk experimenting on him, that’s how he made Momonosuek’s devil fruit in the first place;

Blackbeard has been in their hands at his time when he was a Warlord even it it’s brief period of time;

Shanks has visited the Gorosei more than once so they could have been able to acquire his DNA at that time;

After Whitebeard died his body was in the hands of the Marines and the World Government until he was handed to Shanks; we don’t exactly know if he was given the body right away or waited a bit either way a corpse dead on the battlefield is easy to get a DNA from.

2- The Four Admirals

There are 4 Admirals so the numbers match. They’re World Government employees so it’s very easy to get their DNA and we have seen the Admirals used for Vegapunks research before when he implanted Kizaru’s beams into the Pacifista.

Of course all of the examples I said will have the usual black wings, brown skin, and white hair.

Sabo, Koby and Vivi are set up to play very pivotal roles in One Piece Final Saga!

I think we all have an idea of the finale of the story involving Luffy and all the allied forces of the world coming together to fight the World Government one last time, as a united front. But how exactly could this all come together?

After all, Luffy has never really viewed himself as this grand hero who must bring the dawn of the world despite this clearly being his role in the story. He has only ever viewed himself as a pirate and operated as such. His goal has always been to find the One Piece and become Pirate King, and while that will likely involve fighting the World Government in some way, it would still be a bit out of character for Luffy himself to be commanding a gigantic alliance of disparate forces. This is where three key characters could come into play. I am confident that Sabo, Koby and Vivi are set up to play very pivotal roles in One Piece Final Saga.

I find it interesting that not only were Sabo, Koby and Vivi all reintroduced into the story during the Reverie arc, but all three of these characters are in dangerous situations and/or in need of help post-Reverie.

Sabo is one of the most infamous men in the world right now and is wanted for the murder of Nefertari Cobra, which he likely didn’t commit.

Koby was just revealed to have been kidnapped by the Blackbeard Pirates, and could even be sold off to Cross Guild for a bounty (though that’s obviously speculation).

Vivi has been on the chopping block since Imu and the Five Elders took interest in her, along with the fact that she has gone missing and her father was seemingly murdered.

Aside from all that, they are all fairly similar characters in a few ways:

  • They all have a personal connection to Luffy and have known him since various “early points” in his life, with Sabo being Luffy’s brother since he was a child, Koby meeting him at the start of his journey in East Blue, and Vivi meeting Luffy and the Straw Hats at the start of the Grand Line.
  • They all are level-headed, fan-favorite characters that most readers love. They have been portrayed to be fundamentally good, brave people who wish for peace above all else, each fighting for freedom in different ways.
  • Each of them embodies a somewhat “ideal” version of the factions that they represent. Sabo is the ideal Revolutionary, a strong fighter who inspires freedom across the world as the “Flame Emperor” and is 2nd in command of the Revolutionary Army. Koby may not be the ideal Marine in the story since he isn’t that strong or prejudiced against pirates, but he is the most empathetic and truly caring Marine we have seen, which makes him the ideal in a sense. Vivi is set up to be a great leader, with a large part of her arc in Alabasta being learning the value of leadership and how she can best serve her people as a symbol of the nation, a role she may have to continue growing into as she mourns the death of her father.
  • Finally, they all have personal experience with the evils of the World Government and have seen how badly it needs to be abolished or, at least, reformed. Sabo’s upbringing in the Goa Kingdom showed him how bad the World Nobles can be, and he was even scarred as a child by a Celestial Dragon before being rescued by Dragon himself. Koby was on the front lines of the Marineford war and was even nearly killed by Akainu before he was saved by Shanks, a pirate. Vivi had to enlist the help of pirates to save her kingdom from being destroyed by a civil war caused by Crocodile, a Warlord of the Sea employed by the World Government. It is also safe to assume she knows that the World Government covered up the Alabasta incident in order to save face.

Theory

So the main idea is that during the final saga Sabo, Koby, and Vivi will form a makeshift alliance to stop the upcoming Final War, which would likely involve the World Government fighting various allied nations and forces across the One Piece world. I would also say it is likely that each of these three characters will help mobilize all of the world’s forces against the World Government, and even help lead them in the Final War.

As mentioned before, all three characters have similar ideals and seek to improve the One Piece world, despite having completely different allegiances. If we assume that the “Great Cleansing” that the Five Elders mentioned in Chapter 908 comes into play, all of the various nations, allied forces, and factions of the world would be made aware of the evils of the World Government and finally be willing to fight back. However, they would likely need one last push to mobilize against the World Government and/or fight alongside Luffy, the Straw Hats, other pirate crews, etc.

At this point in the story, Sabo, Koby, and Vivi are all in highly compromised situations. It seems that Sabo is currently trying to contact the Revolutionary Army but there is no guarantee that they will be able to provide him much support. Koby is being held hostage by arguably the most dangerous man in the world right now. We have no idea where Vivi is or what her status is. It would make sense if, through some twists of fate, these three manage to come into contact and team up with each other. It would make even more sense if Sabo and Vivi’s disappearances were connected to a plot by the World Government, which would then spur Koby to assist them.

As for the finale of the series, rather than having Luffy command the forces of the Final War, I think it would make more sense for him and the SHtraw Hats to focus on their matchups, allowing Sabo, Koby and Vivi to lead the charge:

– Sabo could lead the Revolutionary Army and other independent allies;

– Koby could lead SWORD and potentially other sympathetic Marines who disaffect from the World Government over the course of the Final War (e.g. Smoker, Garp, Fujitora, X Drake, etc.);

– Vivi could lead the various nations across the Grand Line that are likely sympathetic to Luffy and/or have a grudge against the World Government (e.g. Alabasta, Water 7, Fishman Island, Dressrose, etc.).

Yamato

Yamato is the son of Kaidou. Born as Kaidou's daughter and groomed from a young age to be his heir, Yamato instead developed a profound admiration for the samurai Kozuki Oden. After his death, Yamato chose to become Oden, impersonating him and adopting his mannerisms. As a result of this desire to become Oden, Yamato decided to become a man and identify as Kaidou's son, and Kaidou and his crew refer to him as such as well.

This path has put Yamato at odds with Kaidou, with much of his life being spent imprisoned on Onigashima. Yamato befriended Portgas D. Ace during his visit to Wano Country, and after learning of Ace's death waited for the arrival of his sworn brother, Monkey D. Luffy. Initially desiring to join Luffy's crew, Yamato ultimately elected to remain behind on Wano, though still intends to go out to sea in the future.

Yamato is a major ally of the Straw Hats during the Wano Country Arc.

Appearance

Being assigned female at birth and not usually choosing to explicitly present as male, Yamato has typically been referred to as a woman by people when they first encounter him. Yamato is taller than an average human, standing at 263 cm (8'8"). He has long, white hair that is bound between orange rods into a ponytail at the back, which fades into aqua green and then blue the further down it goes, and ends in rectangular locks similar to Kaidou. Yamato also has large, orange eyes with prominent eyelashes, wears gold hoop earrings on both ears, and has horns on the top of his head which are mostly red, but gradually become more flesh-colored toward the base.

Yamato's current outfit is a sleeveless white garment with a diamond-shaped design on both sides and an indigo, wisp-patterned bottom half. He wears a pair of red hakama pants and sandals, and, much like Oden, wears a large purple and white nio-dasuki behind his back.

Personality

Yamato greatly admires the legendary samurai Kozuki Oden to the point of even proclaiming to carry his identity. Yamato has self-identified as Oden on multiple occasions and has even emulated his gender, proclaiming to be the son of Kaidou due to Oden being a man. Although initially carrying doubts as to how to present as Oden, Yamato has steadily expressed a straightforward attitude regarding this identity as time has gone on, even proclaiming this as such to Oden's son Momonosuke, to the boy's horror. Although having wholeheartedly embraced this identity, Yamato retains his original persona, referring to Yamato as his "other name". Yamato does not seem to like being misnamed, having quickly corrected Luffy when given a nickname.

Abilities and Powers

Yamato is an extremely powerful warrior, with Black Maria noting that bringing him back to Kaidou's fortress after he had escaped would be a difficult task. In the past, Yamato was able to clash against Ace, a powerful Logia user, on equal ground. Afterwards, Ace acknowledged Yamato's abilities, saying he could not believe someone so strong was not the captain and lamenting that he could not join his crew. During the raid on Onigashima, Yamato clashed with Kaidou, a particularly notable feat considering the Emperor's nearly unparalleled physical might, with Kaidou himself acknowledging his son's strength and value as a soldier.

Physical Abilities

Yamato possesses immense physical strength resembling that of Kaidou, being capable of wielding a large and heavy kanabo and using it to knock out Ulti, an Ancient Zoan user and one of the Tobiroppo, with just one blow. Yamato was also able to physically match Luffy's strength with relative ease, even when he increased his strength exponentially with Gear 2 and Gear 3. When he countered a punch from Luffy with a kick, the powerful collision destroyed part of the nearby wall and ceiling and blew back the Beasts Pirates around them. Yamato could easily run while carrying Luffy with just one arm and was able to shatter the extremely tough armor and weaponry of the Beasts Pirates' Armored Corps.

Devil Fruit

Yamato ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a divine wolf, as well as a human-divine wolf hybrid. According to Kaidou, this beast is a "Guardian Deity of Wano Country". Yamato ate this fruit purely out of hunger, with Kaidou not intending for him to be the one consuming the fruit.

As a Zoan, this fruit greatly bolsters Yamato's physical abilities. He was able to clash near-evenly against Kaidou, an Emperor of the Sea, while the latter had assumed his extremely powerful human-dragon form. Furthermore, being a carnivorous animal, this animal transformation grants Yamato heightened predatory instincts, as well as equipping fangs and claws that are well-suited for combat.

Jinbe

"Knight of the Sea" Jinbe is the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the tenth member of the crew and the ninth to join, doing so during the Wano Country Arc.

Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man and a powerful master of Fish-Man Karate. His dream is to fulfill his former captain Fisher Tiger's dying wish of coexistence and equality between humans and fish-men. He was a member of the Sun Pirates, eventually becoming its second captain after the death of their original captain, Tiger. He eventually became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, though he resigned during the Summit War of Marineford.

Prior to and amidst said war, Jinbe befriended Monkey D. Luffy, and two years later allied with him and his crew to prevent the New Fish-Man Pirates' coup d'état against the Ryugu Kingdom's Neptune Royal Family. Luffy thereafter invited him to join the Straw Hat Pirates, but Jinbe held it off until severing ties with Big Mom during the Whole Cake Island Arc. After staying behind in Totto Land to protect the Sun Pirates from Big Mom's wrath, Jinbe returned to the Straw Hats during the Wano Country Arc, officially announcing his status as a member of the crew.

He first gained a bounty of Beli 76,000,000 due to him being a member of the Sun Pirates. It was later increased to Beli 250,000,000 after Jinbe became the new captain of the Sun Pirates before it was frozen after he joined the Seven Warlords. Jinbe resigned his position as a Warlord at the Summit War of Marineford with his bounty being reinstated at Beli 438,000,000. His current bounty is Beli 1,100,000,000 as a result of the events at the Raid on Onigashima.

Appearance

Jinbe is a large blue whale shark fish-man and the current tallest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He has a stocky build similar to that of a sumo wrestler and a face that is commonly associated with various Japanese demons such as the oni. His yellow eyebrows and sideburns are distinctly shaped like those found on such demons, in addition to a bulb-like nose and an angular lower lip pointing upwards. He has a lightning-shaped scar that can be seen from his left sideburn and reaching over his left eye which he obtained sometime between Otohime's assassination and meeting Ace. He also possesses two tusk-like conical lower fangs associated with Oni as well; the rest of his teeth from the upper and lower rows are pretty much the same, albeit much smaller. He also has a severe underbite, which makes room for his huge fangs.

He has long, two-toned black hair, with two long stripes, colored gold in the manga and white in the anime, coming from the roots over his forehead and trailing down the back, a topknot, and tuft of hair on his chin with a slight green hue. This topknot did not exist during his time as a member of the Sun Pirates, instead his shorter and flowing black hair trails off half way to a light color concentrated at the back of his head. He kept his chin clean-shaven before joining the Sun Pirates, after which it gradually grew out over time. His hands and feet are also webbed, typical for a fish-man, and his limbs that are somewhat thin in comparison with his enormous girth. His gills (which are pale and pinkish in color) are in between his shoulders and neck.

Under his pale red coat (which he swaps for a black one two years later), he appears to be wearing a Coral colored traditional Japanese clothing covered all over with black and white square-shaped patterns with the black and white layers alternating each other (beginning with the black outline from the edge) and ending with a dark square at the middle of each and every one of them. He also ties this attire up with a purple obi like a ribbon around his waist.

Jinbe is often seen wearing different traditional kimono of varying patterns: he wore a karakusa and later a floral design during his time as a member of the Sun Pirates; he wore square designs during his debut and a plain one after the Summit War of Marineford. Four years ago, when fighting against Ace, he wore a black gi instead with fish designs on either side of the chest, and a red sash with a tanto tied to it. Two years after the war, while waiting for Luffy at the Sea Forest, his kimono has leaf-patterns. During Caribou's cover story, he is seen in another one patterned with flowers. For footwear, he appears to wear simple geta on his webbed feet. His Sun Pirates tattoo is on the middle of his chest. During the Whole Cake Island Arc, his kimono is yellow and has a Jolly Roger design arranged like stripes. Additionally, he is also wearing an orange colored coat. In the Wano Country Arc, his kimono is yellow with large orange and white diamonds patterned on it, a red sash, and his coat has a wave design, colored a dark purple that becomes progressively lighter and finally white at the ends of the sleeves and bottom. Like everyone else participating in the raid on Onigashima, Kin'emon briefly gave Jinbe a Beasts Pirates disguise.

Brook

"Soul King" Brook is the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates, one of their two swordsmen and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the ninth member of the crew and the eighth to join, doing so at the end of the Thriller Bark Arc.

Brook ate the Yomi Yomi no Mi, which allowed him to return to life after death once. Brook eventually learned to tap deeper into the powers of his Devil Fruit, giving him significant control over his own soul and the souls of others.

Originally a member of the Rumbar Pirates, he died and was resurrected through the power of the Yomi Yomi no Mi. However, due to the amount of time it took for his soul to find his body, it was reduced to a skeleton, keeping only his afro intact. Brook drifted alone in the Florian Triangle for 50 years, eventually meeting Luffy and serving as the Straw Hats' ally during the Thriller Bark Arc before officially joining the crew. His dream is to reunite with his old friend, Laboon, at Reverse Mountain, where he resides with Crocus.

He first gained a bounty of Beli 33,000,000 during his time as a member of the Rumbar Pirates, it later increased to Beli 83,000,000 after the Dressrosa Arc. Currently, following the events from the Raid on Onigashima, his bounty is raised to Beli 383,000,000.

Before Death

Before his death, Brook was a tall, tan, skinny man who had a rather distinctive face. He had a slight goatee on his chin and some side burns. He typically wore shades never revealing his eyes. On his forehead was a scar that slightly resembles a diagonal omega sign (Ω). This scar was retained in his skeletal state as a distinctive crack across his skull. Brook's facial appearance, accompanied with his style of clothing, resembles a type of appearance and style that is commonly associated with various music artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, and other musical celebrities with similar features.

Before the Timeskip

Brook is an extremely tall skeleton dressed in formal attire complete with top hat and cane. Standing at 266 cm (8'8½") in height, he is the second tallest member of the Straw Hat crew, having been edged out by Jinbe. Despite having no skin, he still has an afro which he says is because his hair has very strong roots. Brook's style was that of a gentleman consisting of a coat, top hat, trousers and afro, which were black, while the inner linings of his coat were yellow-orange. The cravat that was tied in between his coat and around his neck was blue. The outer covering of Brook's cane sword which he carries was purple. Also, due to his many years of seclusion his clothes were somewhat tattered.

After the Timeskip

During the Return to Sabaody Arc through Fish-Man Island Arc, he changed to more colorful and high-end clothes, as though to represent a rock star. He had heart-shaped sunglasses, a yellow feather boa, a new top hat with a giant crown on the brim and orange red trousers with a floral design. Despite being a skeleton, he grew to 277 cm (9'1") during the two-year timeskip.

During the Punk Hazard Arc, he wore a flashy striped coat, after taking it from a member of Brownbeard's Centaur Patrol Unit.

During the Dressrosa Arc, he wore a dark magenta long-coat with an upturned collar in addition to yellow pants. While shown on Zou during this arc, his second outfit consisted of a pink shirt with a white polka dot pattern (which resemble the circles on the SMILE fruits), orange and yellow striped trousers, and pointed dark colored shoes. He also donned his original pre-timeskip top hat, a blue bead necklace, and he swapped his heart shaped sunglasses for a more traditional black pair.

Franky

"Iron Man" Franky is the shipwright of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the crew's eighth member and the seventh to join, doing so at the end of the Post-Enies Lobby Arc.

Born "Cutty Flam", he chose to go by his nickname of "Franky" until eventually permanently discarding his true name per the request of Iceburg to hide his identity. Originally from the South Blue, Franky was abandoned by his family as a four-year-old, eventually making his way to Water 7. There, he came to be a member of Tom's Workers, until an incident resulted in his body being heavily damaged and requiring him to augment himself into a cyborg. Upon returning to Water 7, he became the leader of the Franky Family, a group of ship dismantlers and bounty hunters.

Franky and his followers were originally enemies of the Straw Hats at the beginning of the Water 7 Arc, until circumstances forced them to become allies at the end of the same arc and the Enies Lobby Arc. Franky's dream is to create a ship and circumnavigate the world with it, and he built the Thousand Sunny and joined the Straw Hat Pirates to fulfill his dream.

He gain a bounty of Beli 44,000,000 for his involvement at the Enies Lobby Incident and burning the Blueprints containing Pluton, it later increased to Beli 94,000,000 after the Dressrosa Arc. Currently, following the Raid on Onigashima events, his bounty is worth Beli 394,000,000.

Before the Timeskip

As a direct result of the modifications that he conducted upon himself as well as the years spent as a ship dismantler, bounty hunter, and street thug in Water 7, Franky is a powerfully built man with a height of at least seven feet, making him the third-tallest member of the Straw Hat crew, after Jinbe and Brook. His forearms are relatively enormous while his biceps are comparably small. His chest is well-toned with large abs and pectoral muscles. He has brightly-colored blue hair and blue star tattoos on his forearms. Franky's eyebrows are rather long and stern, and he has three prominent lower Matsuge on each eye. His chin is very angular and tapers off in three pointed clefts. Franky has an equally angular prosthetic nose made of iron with several rivets and jagged edges, the only replacement part of his exterior body that is not covered in artificial skin.

Before being hit by the Puffing Tom, Franky's forearms were normal-sized, and his overall height was comparably smaller than his cyborg-enhanced self would be. He also had an ordinary nose and chin, both of which were later badly broken in the accident, causing him to repair them with iron.

After the Timeskip

Over the two years he was on his own, Franky used Vegapunk's blueprints to drastically reconfigure his body, repairing the damage he accidentally caused to himself and replacing some old functions his body used to have with better and more powerful implements. Franky's hair is now controllable and can change different styles instantly by pushing his nose for more than three seconds. While he used to wear it up in a pompadour style, he now frequently changes his hairstyle, typically whenever he wears a new outfit. However, he reverts to his original pompadour style whenever he is inside General Franky.

He also has two stitch-mark scars on his torso running down from the back of his neck indicating that he had sewn his skin back on.

He appears to have made modifications to his eyes as well. What appears to be his eyes are actually lenses that resemble human eyes over a pair of robotic eyes underneath. His left eye was seen with inverse coloration and with a glowing red pupil after his battle with Senor Pink, after being knocked around so much it caused the lens over the eye to fall out. Once the fighting against the Donquixote Pirates had come to a close and Franky had some downtime to repair himself, he installed a replacement lens.

Nico Robin

Nico Robin, also known by her epithet "Devil Child" and the "Light of the Revolution", is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. She is the seventh member of the crew and the sixth to join, doing so at the end of the Arabasta Arc. She temporarily left the crew during the Water 7 Arc but rejoined during the Enies Lobby Arc.

Robin ate the Hana Hana no Mi at a young age, giving her the power to reproduce her body parts (or her entire body) on any surface at will. As the sole survivor of the destroyed West Blue island Ohara, she is currently one of only two people in the world known to have the ability to read and decipher Poneglyphs, a skill which is considered forbidden and threatening to the World Government.

She acted as the vice president of Baroque Works as "Miss All Sunday", serving and partnering herself directly with the organization's president; the ex-Warlord: Crocodile, who operated under the codename "Mr. 0". She was a secondary antagonist of the Arabasta Saga, before joining the Straw Hats. Her dream is to find the Rio Poneglyph which tells the true history of the world, specifically the Void Century.

She gained a bounty of Beli 79,000,000 at the age of 8 due to her ability to read poneglyphs after the destruction of Ohara, it later increased to Beli 80,000,000 after the Straw Hats invaded Enies Lobby to rescue her and escape, and to Beli 130,000,000 after the Dressrosa Arc. Currently, following the events from Raid on Onigashima, her bounty is raised to Beli 930,000,000.

Appearance

Nico Robin is a tall, slender young woman with shoulder-length black hair and eyes that have dark, wide pupils (her eyes are depicted to be brown in the manga as well as the tenth and twelfth movies; while in the anime, her eyes are depicted to be blue). She also has a long, thin, and defined nose. In the anime, Robin's skin tone has a slightly darker tan unlike in manga-colored artworks where it is lighter. Robin also resembles her mother greatly, with the exception of her hair color and style as well as having a slightly darker skin tone than her. Robin's limbs are very long, especially her legs, contributing greatly to both her fighting capabilities (given the nature of her powers) and overall height.

Before the Timeskip

She has no trademark looks like the others, though her all-purple cowgirl look from when she was first introduced is often associated with her trademark look. Like Nami, Robin seems to be fond of revealing outfits as she is frequently wearing clothing that is either dark in color (often black or purple) or consists of leather (sometimes both). She is also fond of high heels, they do not seem to affect the way she walks or her speed.

Robin sometimes wears a gold arm band with white fringes attached to it with the letter N on it, which stands for her family name. She also had a similar one with BW on it, which stood for Baroque Works, but no longer wears it as she is no longer affiliated with the group. She has also worn an outback hat on numerous occasions.

In the Arabasta Arc, she wore a revealing cowgirl outfit consisting of a purple cleavage-exposing corset and matching miniskirt, both with white ornaments hanging from them, and a white fur-lined coat paired with a white cowboy hat and white high-heeled boots. At the end of the arc when she started traveling with the Straw Hats, she wore a more modest buttoned-up long-sleeved lavender shirt with long purple pants and a pair of purple boots.

After the Timeskip

From the Return to Sabaody Arc to near the end of the Fish-Man Island Arc, Robin's black hair (also lightened in color) has grown longer, which reaches to her lower back and it is pulled back so it reveals more of her forehead and ears. After the timeskip, her outfit now is a long salmon sarong skirt that has a design of a green seaweed with red and yellow flowers on the side with ruffles that bares her hips with a partially-zipped short-sleeved navy blue (sometimes purple in manga and some other media) leather vest with a V-neck line similar to Boa Hancock's and an image of her Devil Fruit or of an actual Chrysanthemum morifolium is printed on the left breast near the shoulder that exposes her stomach, darker pink (sometimes red in other media) high heeled pumps, and a lavender pink backpack. She wears white sunglasses with orange lenses (black in the manga) which she hangs on her forehead and is seen wearing them during the battle with the New Fish-Man Pirates in the Gyoncorde Plaza.

Tony Tony Chopper

Tony Tony Chopper, also known as "Cotton Candy Lover" Chopper, is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the sixth member of the crew and the fifth to join, doing so at the end of the Drum Island Arc. He was temporarily forced to join the Foxy Pirates during the Long Ring Long Land Arc, but was quickly returned to Luffy's crew.

Chopper is a reindeer that ate the Hito Hito no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a human hybrid or a human at will. He came from Drum Island and was taught how to be a doctor by his two parental figures, Doctors Hiriluk and Kureha. His dream is to one day become a doctor capable of curing any disease and wants to travel all across the world specifically in the hopes of accomplishing this dream.

He gain his first bounty of Beli 50 due to being mistaken for the crew's pet after the incident at Enies Lobby. After the Dressrosa Arc, it increased to Beli 100, and is currently worth Beli ,000 following the Raid on Onigashima.

Appearance

Most of the time, Chopper is a toddler-sized human/reindeer hybrid, but his Devil Fruit abilities allow him to change his appearance depending on the situation. Chopper's left antler is braced at the base by a metal plate because it was reattached after being broken during his search for the Amiudake when he was younger (where he thought the Amiudake can cure Hiriluk's disease) and ran into the leader of his old herd, who severely injured him. He usually wears a large pale red/pink fuzzy top hat with a sideways medical cross (given to him by Hiriluk) and a maroon pair of shorts. He also sometimes wears a blue backpack that has the same sideways medical cross as his hat. He also has a remarkable blue nose. As Oda's style evolved and many readers commented on how cute Chopper was, Chopper has been given a much more "chibi" like appearance, meaning that when in his preferred transformation (which he calls Brain Point), he has a larger head and eyes and a less defined muzzle than earlier in the series. Many female characters, such as Nami, Robin, Makino, Porche, Shakky, and Vivi find Chopper very cute. There are even males that find Chopper cute such as Foxy and Breed.

Before the Timeskip

Similar to most of his male crewmates, Chopper has the same outfit throughout most of the series.

In the Arabasta Arc, he wore a shirt with a green-lined collar, then a bigger one with giant sleeves that is light blue with dark blue liners.

In the Enies Lobby Arc, he wore a red leather jacket.

In the Post Enies Lobby Arc, he wore a blue t-shirt with a white Galley-La Company logo on it.

In the Thriller Bark Arc, he wore a cross necklace.

After the Timeskip

After two years, Chopper is significantly leaner. He is less potbellied than he was in earlier seasons and his arms/forelimbs are also skinnier. It is arguable that since leaving the cold climate on Drum Island, he has lost significant body fat. The color of his fur has changed from brown to gold, and according to Nami (when she and Chopper reunite on Sabaody), the texture has gotten softer.

Chopper now wears a blue cap that has a ring of dots around the circle, while the cap has buckles hanging from it. He wears this over his old pink hat. He also wears a white and yellow vertical-striped tank top, which he takes off when he transforms into Heavy Point, and an orange pair of shorts. Aside from being slightly slimmer and having his fur changing from dark brown into a light brown color, Chopper's Brain Point form has not changed. His Walk Point (reindeer) form has grown considerably, now being roughly as tall as Usopp. His horns are larger, he has more muscle, and his fur is longer. His Heavy Point has become exceedingly larger and more muscular, being almost the size of Dosun's. He also developed new transformations through his research during the timeskip, which he debuts on Fish-Man Island, including Kung Fu Point (which he uses to defeat Neptune's soldiers) and a revised Horn Point (which he uses against Daruma).

Sanji

"Black Leg" Sanji, born as Vinsmoke Sanji, is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the fifth member of the crew and the fourth to join, doing so at the end of the Baratie Arc.

Born as the third son and fourth child of the Vinsmoke Family (thus making him a former prince of the Germa Kingdom), he disowned his family twice, once in his youth and again after reuniting with them as an adult. After fleeing the Vinsmokes as a child, he eventually entered the care of Zeff as the sous chef of the Baratie, where he would remain until he met Monkey D. Luffy, who convinced him to join his crew.

His dream is to find the rumored chef's paradise, All Blue, which is where East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue meet, along with their wildlife. He is one of the top three fighters of the Straw Hats, alongside Luffy and Zoro.

He first gained a bounty of Beli 77,000,000 for his role in the Enies Lobby Arc, it later increased to Beli 177,000,000 after the Dressrosa Incident. But the condition of his bounty was changed to Only Alive due to his biological father's interference. It was later reverted back to Dead or Alive after escaping from Big Mom's territory with a value of Beli 330,000,000. His current bounty is Beli 1,032,000,000 after the events of the Raid on Onigashima. Despite renouncing his surname Vinsmoke, the World Government labels it as part of his name on his wanted poster.

Appearance

Sanji is a slim, muscular, long-legged man with blond hair which he keeps brushed over one side of his face. Before the timeskip, this was the left side. After the two year timeskip, he switched his hairstyle so that it covers the right side. It also appears that Sanji's hair is less straight and scruffier after the timeskip.

Among Sanji's physical traits are his distinctive eyebrows. Both form a spiral but at different ends. His right eyebrow forms a spiral at the outer end, while his left eyebrow forms a spiral at the inner end. His eyebrows curl in the opposite direction from his siblings, whose eyebrows curl in a counterclockwise direction (i.e to the left side). Sanji's eyebrows instead curl in a clockwise direction (i.e to right side). During his battle with Queen, when his dormant genetic modifications awakened, Sanji's eyebrows switched to curling in the same direction as his siblings' (i.e to the left side). After being unconscious for a brief period, when he awoke his eyebrows had returned to their original shape.

While Sanji's eyes usually seem black, he was depicted with grey-blue eyes in the anime at the beginning of Thriller Bark Arc. This is shown again during the Punk Hazard Arc, when Trafalgar Law switched Sanji into Nami's body, and her usual brown eyes became grey-blue in color.

Sanji almost always wears a black, double-breasted suit with golden buttons and a tie together with a long-sleeved buttoned shirt of varying colors, usually orange, blue, turquoise, or black, with or without pinstripes. His outfit changes on a more frequent basis than most of the crew.

As a child, Sanji wore a yellow shirt with the number "3" on it, white pants, brown boots, and a light yellow bandana around his neck. His hair was styled in the opposite manner as it is in the present.

Before the Timeskip

During the Drum Island Arc, he wore a brown coat with furry outlining.

During the Arabasta Arc, he wore blue jacket-like attire suited for the desert in addition to orange sunglasses.

During the Skypiea Arc, he wore a pink dotted shirt with black knee-length pants.

During the Long Ring Long Land Arc, he wore a lavender shirt with a blue tie.

During the Water 7 Arc, he did not wear a suit jacket, but a black vest over an orange, pinstriped shirt.

During the Thriller Bark Arc, he wore a dark blue shirt with a light blue tie, as well as his usual black suit jacket and trousers.

During the Post-Enies Lobby Arc, he wore a darker lavender shirt with a red tie.

During the Straw Hats' separation, Sanji was coerced into dressing as a typical okama, wearing a pink dress with short puffy sleeves. He also wore a long blond curly wig, nail polish, a pair of woman's undergarments, and heavy, trashy makeup. He was also seen with a pair of high heels. He later reverts to his usual outfit and appearance sometime after that.

He also wears dress shoes, mostly for his Black Leg Style. These shoes are extremely durable, and were designed to increase the power of his attacks, though he can attack sufficiently without them as shown in his fight against Kuroobi. Sanji is also a chain-smoker, and is rarely seen without a cigarette.

After the Timeskip

After the two year timeskip, Sanji now covers his right eye, shows his left eye, and has grown his hair just slightly longer. He also sports a dark anchor style facial hair, and stubble on his upper lip. Sanji's neck has gotten thicker as well, similar to Luffy and Zoro. He has grown taller, and therefore remains nearly the exact same height as Zoro. He wears a black double breasted suit with golden buttons and a yellow dress shirt together with a brown tie. In Punk Hazard, he wears a full black double breasted suit with golden buttons and a grey dress shirt together with a very light grey tie.

While on Punk Hazard, Kin'emon used his Fuku Fuku no Mi ability to give Sanji a double-breasted coat for the cold, as he was trapped in Nami's body because of Trafalgar Law.

Usopp

"God" Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Nine Senior Officers of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is the fourth member of the crew and the third to join, doing so at the end of the Syrup Village Arc. Although he left the crew during the Water 7 Arc, he rejoined at the end of the Post-Enies Lobby Arc.

Usopp is the son of Yasopp and Banchina. He was born and raised in Syrup Village, serving as "captain" of the Usopp Pirates and being Kaya's close friend. After working with the Straw Hats to defeat Kuro and the Black Cat Pirates, he was invited to join the crew. Despite his usual cowardice, Usopp dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea just like his father and lives every day in pursuit of living up to this dream.

He first gain a bounty of Beli 30,000,000 under his Sogeking Persona after the incident at Enies Lobby. After the Dressrosa Arc, Usopp gains a bounty of Beli 200,000,000 under his own name. Currently, following the events from the Raid on Onigashima, his bounty is raised to Beli 500,000,000.

Appearance

Before the Timeskip

Usopp is a slim tan-skinned teenager with medium-length black curly hair, prominent lips and a long nose, which is apparently an allusion to Pinocchio (a wooden boy from a story of the same name who possessed a nose that would stretch after he lied). Usopp inherited his famous nose from his mother, while the rest of his face closely resembles his father's. During the Straw Hat separation, after landing in the Boin Archipelago, Usopp grew obese from overeating.

Like the rest of the males of the crew, he wore one outfit for the majority of the series before wearing different clothing by the end of the Paradise. Usopp usually wore an olive green plaid bandanna, a blue and white striped armband on his left arm, along with special sniper goggles (he also has a pair of clear rectangular goggles that he sometimes wears in situations where he does not have his sniper goggles, like when he first met the Straw Hat Pirates or when his sniper goggles were stolen by Mr. 2), brown overalls with a white sash and no shirt underneath. He also carries with him a yellow satchel, which he stores all his tools and gadgets in.

During the Drum Island Arc, he wore a brown jumper with white fur collar and cuffs, faded yellow gloves and grey pants with a black "c" pattern.

During the walk through the desert in the Arabasta Arc, he wore a brown keffiyeh under his goggles and a dull red (blue in Volume 19 cover, and dull green in the anime) and black striped desert cloak.

During the Skypiea Arc, he wore a murky green shirt underneath brown overalls and some bandages on his torso and arms after getting attacked by Enel.

During the final game of the Davy Back Fight, he wore a yellow zip-up coach jacket, a red towel around his shoulders, and silver sunglasses with purple lenses. Usopp was also trusted with Luffy's Strawhat which he wore on his head.

During the Water 7 Arc, he wore bandages under his overalls again after being attacked by the Franky Family.

While onboard the Puffing Tom he put on a gold colored sun-like mask he found in a compartment over his goggles and wore a red cape, calling this superhero persona "Sogeking". Usopp wore this costume for the rest of the Enies Lobby Arc.

During the Thriller Bark Arc Usopp wore a purple cape and a wide brim purple hat with a necklace of garlic to ward off evil creatures.

During Sabaody Archipelago Arc Usopp wore an unbuttoned turquoise shirt instead of his overalls and some green shorts with a yellow flower pattern on one leg.

After the Timeskip

After the two year timeskip, Usopp has become much more muscular than before and has grown his hair out. He has become "manlier" and is slightly taller than before.

Usopp now has a new pair of goggles around his neck (his sniper goggles weren't shown) and has some headphones or ear protectors on. He also now has a little goatee along with a new white suncap he wears on his head. He also has a new pair of rolled-up yellow pants with red suspenders and a pair of boots.

His trademark yellow satchel has been replaced with a red one, but he still has his blue and white striped wristband on his left arm.
