One Piece Chapter 1197 Spoilers

The entire chapter focuses on Sanji vs. Killingham, with a lot of text!

At the beginning of the chapter, Sanji reflects on how his body has carried him through countless hardships and realizes that protecting it should be his first priority.

We see several panels depicting Sanji’s past with Zeff, Reiju and his brothers, as well as the enemies he had fought throughout the series (Mr. 2 (Bon Clay), Jabra, Absalom, Wadatsumi, Vinsmoke Judge, and Queen…).

Sanji deeply despises the kind of bodies his siblings possess. He believes that if he were to become like them, he would rather die. This is also why he has little regard for his own body.

Sanji realizes that Armament Haki alone isn’t enough and that he needs a defense beyond anything he has achieved before.

Sanji continues to unleash a barrage of kicks against Killingham. Annoyed by Sanji, Killingham (in hybrid form) coats himself in “Omen” to create a black armor that can only be destroyed by Conqueror’s Haki.

Sanji produces a new type of flame on his leg. It’s shading resembles Ifrit Jinbe’s flames, but the surrounding flames appear purer, while the flame aura is much more fluid.

Sanji blocks Killingham’s attack, causing the tip of the Longinus spear to shatter. Sanji gets knocked down by the force of the impact.

Sanji raises his leg and examines the flames. He realizes that he feels no pain and that his Armament Haki has reached an absurd level, allowing him to withstand attacks as though he were the one delivering them (he says he could even shatter bullets with them).

Sanji stands back up to face Killingham, thinking about Luffy and Zoro. Sanji resolves that Zoro should be Luffy’s “sword,” while he himself will become Luffy’s “shield.”

Black lightning appears, the visual effect associated with Conqueror’s Haki. Sanji unleashes a spinning back kick imbued with both his new flames and Conqueror’s Haki!

Sanji breaks the shaft of Longinus and lands a direct hit on Killingham’s face, shattering his helmet. We see Killingham spitting blood!
