It would be really interesting if characters conqueror’s haki have different effects based on the will of the user. Like if sanji actually gets to protect luffy from an attack that would injure luffy, but because sanji is so focused on defense it actually blocks the attack leaving them both unscathed. I love moments when character portray zoro and sanji as luffy’s wings, weapons and/or greatest support. Love that we are at a point where these comparisons occur more often and even sanji and zoro are saying it too.
Well, they still are going to have their banters. But, these last 10 chapters have shown us these two, though we already knew it:
Zoro knew damn way too well sanji was meant to unlock conqueror’s haki and beat killingham.
Sanji knew both of them are meant to be luffy’s strongest forces to help him achieve the status of the pirate king.
They both know they are stronger than the others, they know they are the powerhouses of the crew and they both know it is on their shoulders to lead and protect the crew when luffy is not around.
It is also good that we finally got a strength related goal for sanji, which debunks “He is just a cook who happens to fight well sometimes” merchants!
