Haven't seen this mentioned too much, but can we just say how incredibly creative it was to use killingham's power of nightmare manifestation to bring ivaknov out for this moment. Sanji coming to terms with his lack of self love may be the ultimate point for this fight, but how oda uses sanji's time with ivaknov as a learning moment, and how oda brings ivaknov back as his nightmare is so incredibly creative. But it all tracks and makes sense story-wise and character-wise.
Oda seams this character upgrade so well! Dude had to be reminded that his death would make the ones he loves vulnerable to love himself as much as he loves others and some are saying ivankov is his nightmare cause hes homophobic. Iva is not his nightmare, his nightmare is the fact that someone was able to see through sanjis scars and made him reevaluate his thought of himself. Oda brilliantly connected that to kiringhams power and physically ended sanjis self hate by making killinghams powers fade away. Beautiful chapter as often.
