Sanji’s development is so incredibly satisfying, each part of his character gets in depth context and development, everything connects so well together. Just from interacting with sanji 2 times kuma saw his eagerness to sacrifice himself and sent him to the one place he could learn to love himself. There’s no way he could’ve known iva would be there but I love seeing kuma’s decisions pay off.

This truely was a character chapter decades in the making. Sanji's stubbornness in putting others above himself has been an ongoing background issue since the early grandline. His journey confronting trauma and being unable to break past it without learning to love himself is something that really hits way to close to home. That final panel of sanji had so much fucking aura. It's such a simple panel but just solving your fears like that on a dime and looking down on scum that you know you're about to be done with is an incredibly relatable vibe for those moments when you find self-actualization. I love that iva saw through all of it so long ago. I know brook/ nami said sanji was always willing to sacrifice himself for others- I just forgot how many times he's shown in the past that he does not value his life
Against pearl to protect zeff. Arguably against kuroobi to protect zoro, save luffy, and protect nojiko. Against enel to protect usopp. Against kalifa because of his ideals. Against absalom to protect nami. Against oars and moria to protect robin. Against kuma to protect zoro and luffy. He charged recklessly against kuma in sabaody. Against vergo to protect g5. Against doflamingo to protect the crew wci.
Insane.
